This module serves as the most vital for girls and boys. Through creative lessons and a proactive hands-on approach, the girls and boys will explore topics such as nutrition, fitness, substance abuse, human sexuality, and other topics specific to their needs.
This module combines language arts and social studies. The goal is to educate the girls and boys to be critical thinkers, proficient writers, effective readers, and powerful speakers and listeners. They will explore a variety of civilizations through their traditions, histories, and contributions to society. The girls and boys will be encouraged to think about their place in history and how they can make a difference in the world around them.
This module develops dramatic skills through movement, vocal techniques, dance, and music. The girls and boys will be taught movement, participate in direct instruction from various guests, and participate in ongoing improvisational workshops as well as a production at the conclusion of the program.
This module focuses on the creative process and development of technical skills in a variety of media. The girls and boys will acquire an understanding of basic color theory while developing skills in drawing, sculpting, and printmaking. They will also study paintings, sculpture, and architecture that coincide with various time periods.
This module allows the girls and boys to participate in a variety of sports. They will refine their talents and acquire new talents. A foundation of movement experiences will be developed that will lead to active and healthy lifestyles.
